MEET THE FOUNDER

Jordan London

Jordan’s humble dance beginnings consisted of a weekly hip hop class at the age of 7 after her mother found a flyer for it stuck to a car. She profoundly enjoyed learning choreography and quickly developed an affinity for the musicality and structure that dance offered. It was not long before she was encouraged to branch out into different styles, where she became a young competition dancer. Jordan spent every summer at various ballet summer intensives, and at the age of 12 she decided to shift her focus to ballet, as she fell in love with the constant pursuit of perfection and discipline that was required. Now dedicating 30+ hours a week dancing in addition to her full time academic studies, it is safe to say ballet became an integral part of Jordan’s identity.

At the age of 17, Jordan was offered a place at the prestigious Houston Ballet Academy where she trained intensely to realize her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. Just two years later, she was accepted a contract to the Estonian National Ballet, where she moved overseas to Tallinn, Estonia.

During her 3 seasons dancing and living across the world from home, Jordan really began to blossom into the person that would lead the life that she has today. She was given the opportunity to perform multiple soloist and principal roles in iconic productions such as George Balanchine’s “Serenade”, August Bournonville’s “A Flower Festival in Genzano,” and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s “A Streetcar Named Desire.” Her time living the life of a professional dancer was not always smooth, but nonetheless transformative.

In her third season as professional ballerina, Jordan began to explore other ways in which she could stay connected to the dance world. She believed that a position in a professional company often came with a lack of guidance and unrealistic expectations that left dancers feeling in a constant state of inadequacy. Jordan now aims to combat this through The London Attitude’s mission to provide dancers the tools and guidance they need to flourish both physically and mentally in their dance journey. It is with great passion that Jordan welcomes you to The London Attitude, a supportive, encouraging platform where you are empowered to recognize that you already have what it takes to become the best dancer possible, but you do not have to figure it all out alone. We are here to help you step into your next level as a dancer where you will simultaneously find yourself in love with the process.
